What is the difference between regular cleaning and deep cleaning?

Regular cleaning involves the typical domestic chores you do daily or in some cases weekly to keep the property clean or at least not so dirty, like cleaning the kitchen and bathroom (those rooms are the dirtiest) and mopping floors, laundry, or tidying up the place.

Deep cleaning is recommended every 3 or 6  months in a regular year, but since this is no regular year (Covid-19 pandemic), at least every 3 months just to be safe.

What does deep cleaning mean?

It’s probably what you’re imagining, deep cleaning means cleaning heavily all the dirt, dust, grime, grease, and anything filthy in every corner of your vacation property. How to start?

We start by checking the supplies and tools (brooms, soap, gloves, sponges, Lysol or Clorox, etc.) we need to clean accordingly, especially keeping our team safe with protective gear, so they can keep your guests safe. Once ready we start doing regular cleaning, clearing away the clutter, cleaning the dust from any surfaces and floors, and clearing items in those spaces that need to be deep cleaned. Once the regular cleaning is done we start with the deep cleaning, disinfecting all high-touch areas and high-traffic areas as well as other items and rooms.

Usually, we start with the bathroom and kitchen since those are the dirtiest rooms, and the last area to be cleaned is your rental’s entryway to avoid the need of stepping on clean floors or getting something clean, dirty by accident.
